This is an octagonal Wa Style Handle made for Japanese style kitchen knives.

The body is a very nice old growth sequoia burl with African Blackwood

Medium sized, it is suited for a 165-210mm Japanese knives.

Weight: 44g Length: 130.0 mm (5..25”)

Handle is sanded to 800 grit then coated in 5-6 coats of sealer for longer protection.

Care :

Hand wash with soapy water and towel dry.
Do not put in dishwasher or soak in water for long periods of time.
Oil on a fairly regular basis, nor sand with 0000 steel wool and reapply a sealer such as tru-oil as needed.
